Camí Ramader de Marina - De la Cerdanya al Penedés

Formerly, the cattle from the central regions of Catalonia walked to the Penedès when the cold came, seeking a milder climate. And in summer, horses and cows they came up thence Lluçanès and then to Lake Bouillouses, in terms of Llívia and French territory.

As for the sheep, they walked toward the Penedès Anyella Plan to spend the summer, and back when the cold came. Both of course are known as marine route. Remembering this centuries-old tradition of transhumance, the town of Llívia celebrates the first weekend of June a party with various cultural and leisure activities: The Festival of Transhumance
